Having spent her summers in the Algarve since childhood, and with her family owning a home in the region, she had long dreamed of one day celebrating her wedding here. When she met Joshua, and their Belgian and English families blended beautifully together, there was no doubt: their destination wedding in Portugal would take place at this iconic 18th-century palace.
Over the course of 18 months, we had the privilege of planning and designing their wedding in Portugal, curating every detail from concept to execution to create an unforgettable celebration for the 120 guests travelling from Belgium and the UK.

The symbolic ceremony took place along the magnificent original entrance of Palácio de Estoi, one of the most iconic wedding venues in the Algarve.Set in front of the palace’s charming blue-tiled chapel, with the grand façade of the palace as a backdrop, the setting felt cinematic and deeply romantic. The ceremony was made even more personal as it was officiated by the bride’s brother — a heartfelt moment that brought warmth and intimacy to such a grand location. A white aisle was framed with abundant blue and white florals, perfectly complementing the traditional Portuguese azulejos and the soft summer palette.
A Cocktail Reception in the Palace Grand Gardens
Following the ceremony, guests transitioned into the palace gardens for a vibrant welcome cocktail. Signature drinks and exquisite Hors d’Oeuvress were crafted especially for the couple, adding a personal touch to the celebration. Laughter, music and conversation filled the gardens as guests enjoyed the Algarve sunshine and the historic beauty surrounding them.

Throughout the day, the couple and their bridal party captured breathtaking photographs inside the palace’s grand salons. Ornate gilded mirrors, intricate ceiling frescoes, antique chandeliers and romantic pastel walls created a setting reminiscent of a European editorial.

As evening approached, guests were invited to an extraordinary outdoor dining experience set along a picturesque tree-lined avenue.
Round tables dressed in crisp white linens were adorned with delicate blue and white floral arrangements, carefully curated to reflect the palette of the day. Suspended above the tables, crystal chandeliers shimmered between the trees, intertwined with soft fairy lights that began to glow as dusk settled in. The effect was magical — a regal garden banquet with an atmosphere of intimacy and warmth.
One of the most memorable moments of the evening came during the speeches. Far from being overly formal, they were lively, witty and deeply heartfelt — perfectly aligned with the spirit of the celebration. There was laughter, playful storytelling and even spontaneous singing that had the entire room applauding.
The tone reflected exactly who Eloise and Joshua are as a couple: joyful, modern, and completely one of a kind. The Belgian side certainly brought their signature flair — as guests quickly discovered, they truly know how to turn a speech into a moment of celebration.
It was the perfect transition from elegant dinner to an unforgettable night of dancing.

The space was transformed with dramatic lighting design, suspended mirror balls and an illuminated dance floor that instantly set the mood. A live band energised the room, creating an atmosphere that was both sophisticated and electric.
